The board of Director and Staff of the Universe co-operative credit union limited developed this strategic plan with assistance from CUA. We provide the Universe Co-operative Credit Union Limited with a five year roadmap for financial services support and organizational development.
The board of directors and staff will review progress quarterly while updating the plan annually as needed. This plan was developed with broad involvement and guidance from the board of directors and staff. The strategic planning committee included three board members and two staff on the management team.
This committee met twice a week for four weeks to reflect on the mission, vision, core operating values and assumptions underlying the unions approach to its work.
These meeting, set the stage for a work session of the full board during which the union strategic directions was defined. The staff helped co-ordinate the planning process and provided important support and analysis to complete this plan.
Universe co-operative credit union limited facilitated the planning process, conducted an environmental scan including an internal organizational assessment and interview with several community stakeholders and a review of demographic and market data.The environmental scan and organizational assessment helped Universe Co-operative Credit Union to assess both the challenges and opportunities, it is likely to face over the next five years and set the context for the choices in this strategic plan.
